DESCRIPTION
Construction of an underground reinforced concrete water storage reservoir measuring 43.3 x 81.8 x 7.8 meters. Total concrete volume approximately 5300 cubic meters. Includes piping, valves and other misc. civil work directly related to the reservoir. Reservoir is an earlier phase of the overall water treatment plant which Allied Constructors also constructed. Expansion joints in the form of 1 meter wide concrete sections are a key feature of this facility as can be seen in the photographs. All floor, wall and roof strips had to be placed a minimum of 30 days after all adjacent concrete structures. All wall and floor joints use either bentonite or Hydrotite expandable water stop.
